John 5:17-47 | What am I going to do about it?

8Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

We are invited to participate with the Lord in belief. One of the things that astounds me is that Jesus promises results in this life for our belief. We can actually test the theory of faith and see what it produces! No, I am not talking about prosperity and all that. What I am talking about is transformation. I have seen it in my own life. There were things that I had tried to deal with on my own that I could not overcome that the Lord overcame instantly. There have been seasons of anxiety and panic where the Lord brought peace that washed over me. I have seen in others people who have been made new and their lives continue to be that testimony. I have seen people be healed. I have seen addictions dropped. I have seen those who have encountered the Lord and had the result of a transformed life.

We are invited to look upon the evidence and see if Jesus is truly who He says He is. That is the whole point of what Jesus says here in John. He does not expect us to believe with no result or evidence. Rather, Jesus elevates the evidence and calls for us to see it ourselves. I myself will look upon the evidence. Studying apologetics is a passion of mine. This only propels that desire even more.

Let us taste and see that the Lord is good together!
