John 1:35-51 | What am I going to do about it?
There is a reality that I was once invited myself to come and see. Someone took the time with me to introduce me to Jesus. As far as the direct application, I have two:
1. I will continue to meet with Jesus and see who He is. I will sit at His feet and dwell on the reality that He is Lord. I will meet with Him in His word and in prayer. I will respond with worship and praise. I will enjoy Him as He enjoys me. He has already called for me to follow, and so I will follow Him.
2. I will extend the invitation out. This goes beyond simply preaching the Gospel to nonbelievers. Those that Jesus invited were faithful Jews. They were the religious. While, yes, I will continue to evangelize, I also want to help the body of Christ taste and see that the Lord is good. This invitation I extend to you, the reader, to come and see. Sit at His feet and meet with Him. I invite you to foster your prayer life and your time spent with the Lord. I invite you to meet the Messiah, the Savior of your soul and the Lord of your life.
As I have been invited and dwell in this, I seek to invite others as well.
