Proverbs 31:12

12      She does him good and not evil
    All the days of her life.
-Proverbs 31:12

Is it not every intent of the believer to ensure all their acts before the Lord are good? We are told all over the place to put off the old, and all the wicked works along with it, and put on the new and walk steadfastly in righteousness. As we look upon our Bridegroom, Jesus, what evil do we desire to commit against Him? Walking alongside believers, I have seen the heart in most to flee wickedness, loathing the flesh. I have seen strivings for goodness and longing to be pleasing to the Lord. This is a good pursuit. This is the prayer that is set out for the saints.

9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy

We ought to pursue being fully pleasing to the Lord in everything we do. This is the testimony of our lives. And the result of it is all the benefits that come from the Bridegroom.
