Proverbs 31:10
10 Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.

As we go through Proverbs 31 in talking about a Virtuous Wife, coined as the Proverbs 31 woman, we will take a different approach. The significance of this woman plays out in marriage which we know from Ephesians 5 is really about Christ and the Church. We will read this with the understanding that this is how the Lord views the Church.
To begin, the worth of the Church is far above rubies. A crimson stone that would pay the price of many is hardly the price that can cover us. It was a different kind of crimson that purchased us. As the Lord counted the cost, He saw it a fit price to give the blood of Jesus for our ransom. That is definitely a price worth more than rubies. The Lord considers our value highly and we were worth every drop spilt to Him.
