Proverbs 30:4

    4      Who has ascended into heaven, or descended?
    Who has gathered the wind in His fists?
    Who has bound the waters in a garment?
    Who has established all the ends of the earth?
    What is His name, and what is His Son’s name,
    If you know?

The clear answer to all of this is the Lord. Jesus is literally described in Ephesians as the one who has ascended and descended. He has command over the wind and the waves. He has bound up the chaos of the world by way of his sacrifice. The world was made through Him. His name is Jesus. This is all a testimony concerning the authority of the Lord. Taking from yesterday's devotion, the one who has no knowledge concerning the Lord cannot answer this. But as one gets to know the Lord, this becomes apparent. We can see the Lord in the fullness of His authority. Meditate upon this verse and consider the implications of the God we serve. Do we treat Him and hasten to Him as one who has such authority? Delight yourself in the Lord!
