Proverbs 29:7
7The righteous considers the cause of the poor,
But the wicked does not understand such knowledge.
-Proverbs 29:7
Partiality, greed, and covetousness are unfortunately running rampant in the church. As such, I have seen more judgment from the rich upon the poor than consideration of them. I have seen gossip and slander instead of grace and mercy. I have seen mockery. I have seen burden. This should not be so for the believer. It is a righteous thing to consider each one's lot and consider the cause of the poor. It is wickedness that seeks one's own gain. Let us be cautious with greed. Be wary of these things for it has been a snare for many believers in time's past. Be generous with what the Lord has entrusted to you. Consider one another more highly than yourself. Walk in love as you have been loved by the Lord.
