Proverbs 29:4
4The king establishes the land by justice,
But he who receives bribes overthrows it.
-Proverbs 29:4
As with many of the passages concerning kings, consider this in the concept of who or what rules over your life. This is one of the most beautiful things that I have studied in all of Scripture. If Christ is King over your life, do you not see how you have been established by justice?
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
-1 John 1:9
In order for Christ to be King over us, we had to have confessed to Him. He is, in return, faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. There was a time in which it seemed unsuitable and as though justice was not done, for so great was my sin! Then the Lord brought me here and highlighted to me how justice has been done. The Lord is not one who would be swayed by bribe or petty arguments. He has established the believer in justice. We belong to Him and are ruled well. Praise the Lord for His grace! Praise the Lord for His mercy! Praise the Lord for His justice! Blessed be the name of the Lord!
