Proverbs 27:22
22Though you grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with crushed grain,
Yet his foolishness will not depart from him.
-Proverbs 27:22
For some, simple correction will help lead them out of their foolishness. For others, trial and tribulation will cause foolishness to be removed. And then others still, it matters little how much trial, tribulation, or pressing they go through. The foolishness is ingrained as deeply as it can be that it is inseparable from the individual. While there is nothing in our power that we can do for such a man, the Lord can work wonders. As we encounter those stuck in foolishness, we must hasten to prayer for them. Intercede for them and fight on your knees, petitioning that they main gain a heart of wisdom and grow in the fear of the Lord. Pray for their salvation. Pray for their sanctification. I have seen many foolish become wise by the wonderful working of the Lord. Do not simply cast them aside. Pray for them.
