Proverbs 27:20
20Hell and Destruction are never full;
So the eyes of man are never satisfied.

There never comes a point at which wickedness is satisfied. 1 John talks about the love of the world and with it the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. We have all experienced this to some degree or another. Have you ever found yourself sitting down, watching a show, or a movie, or the news and just couldn't quite find yourself stopping? The eyes are never satisfied. Our flesh continually provokes us to be looking for the next thing, the next upgrade, the next excitement. Not much longer after one meal, we are looking for the next. Not long after one promotion are we eager for the next. Not long after upgrading a phone, a vehicle, a living situation, do we find ourselves looking for the next one. We must be cautious and find our satisfaction in the Lord. Nothing on earth will ever satisfy.
