Proverbs 22:26-27
26Do not be one of those who shakes hands in a pledge,
One of those who is surety for debts;
27If you have nothing with which to pay,
Why should he take away your bed from under you?
-Proverbs 22:26-27
The credit card can most definitely get us into a world of trouble. Debt can most definitely be a huge hinderance in our lives. We should be those who live within our means. There is no necessity for us to live lavish lifestyles and it is absolutely not worth going into debt over. The question we should ask ourselves is whether or not the Lord is truly enough for us. If He is, then why go into debt over something so lavish? Pray and seek the Lord for wisdom in your finances. If things are tight, seek for wisdom on what to cut off or otherwise that the Lord would provide in mighty ways. Do not hasten to put yourself in debt.
