Proverbs 21:19

19Better to dwell in the wilderness,
Than with a contentious and angry woman.
-Proverbs 21:19

We have discussed this matter already once in a previous devotion. Seeing as Solomon sees it fit to address the topic further, we must do the same. A contentious household creates an unsafe environment in several factors. For the better place to be is a wilderness goes to show just how bad it is to have a contentious home. For a husband to be quick to his temper and lash out at any given comment from his wife, or even to lash out unprovoked, creates an environment of strife. A wife who finds every excuse to nag at her husband makes the alternative environment much more appealing. There must be mutual grace within the household. Strive for unity in your household. Submit yourselves before the Lord and let Him be your guide to unity.
