Proverbs 20:23

    23 Diverse weights are an abomination to the LORD,
    And dishonest scales are not good.

This topic continues to resurface throughout the Proverbs for a reason. This is a matter that Solomon is stressing. He demonstrates how it affects those that it is done to and emphasizes how it is that the Lord views such a behavior. Something that should always stick out to us is the language used to describe how the Lord views something. When the Word says that He sees something as an abomination, that is something of utmost importance that we not only want to avoid in our own lives, but also something that we should avoid entirely. Let us not associate with those who adopt abominable practices. Indeed let us bring them the gospel and speak truth, but we ought not to make them our company. The Lord sees such a practice as this as an abomination. We should take that as a warning message and turn to walk in righteousness.
