Proverbs 19:1
Better is the poor who walks in his integrity
Than one who is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.
-Proverbs 19:1
Integrity is crucial to the Christian lifestyle. The one who lacks everything this world has to offer but has integrity is better than he who has all things but lacks integrity. Evidently, the Lord is greatly concerned with our moral behavior. To lack integrity is to lack spiritual development. The question then stands, how does one grow in integrity? As a simple rule, be invested in the word of God, not just in learning it, but in living it. Let the Scripture confront you and lead you. Spend time in prayer throughout your day. Grow in the fear of the Lord. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength. Develop your love for the Lord. All of these things will grow you in the place of integrity. Let us, as men and women of the Lord, stand in integrity in all we do.
