Proverbs 13:15-16

15Good understanding gains favor,
But the way of the unfaithful is hard.
16Every prudent man acts with knowledge,
But a fool lays open his folly.
-Proverbs 13:15-16

We see a lot through the Proverbs of gaining understanding and knowledge and the importance of having such things. How do you gain them? You gain them by studying the word of God and meditating upon it. Many will take to the bible and just read a chapter a day and then move on. It is hard to be nourished if the only substantial thing you eat in a day is a salad, and the rest is junk food. Take time to mull over the word. Study it. Meditate upon it. Walk it out faithfully. The reason the way of the unfaithful is hard is because it is a walk in darkness. But the man who walks in the word has a light unto His path. So walk by His word and dive into it. Be prudent and diligent.
