Proverbs 8:12-13
12“I, wisdom, dwell with prudence,
And find out knowledge and discretion.
13The fear of the Lord is to hate evil;
Pride and arrogance and the evil way
And the perverse mouth I hate.
-Proverbs 8:12-13
This is an excellent test as to where you stand on the fear of the Lord. Do you hate evil? Our culture propagates a celebration of evil things. It is a sell point when something is dark or horrific. Genres of movies and shows are built around this. People find themselves reasoning with ideas to make that which is evil not. People become the judge instead of the Lord. It is a blasphemous thing to call that which God says is evil good. Likewise, it is wrong to call that which God says is good evil. Let us be those that hate evil. Let us be those that stay from pride and arrogance and perversity. Fear the Lord. Walk in His way.
