Proverbs 3:31-35
31Do not envy the oppressor,
And choose none of his ways;
32For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord,
But His secret counsel is with the upright.
33The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked,
But He blesses the home of the just.
34Surely He scorns the scornful,
But gives grace to the humble.
35The wise shall inherit glory,
But shame shall be the legacy of fools.
-Proverbs 3:31-35
The Psalms speaks to the prospering of the wicked throughout it. Of course the Psalmist cries out with how wrong it is and at some points questions why anyone should then walk in righteousness. This Proverb then highlights the depth of the wickedness behind them.
Do not follow after the wicked in their wickedness, even if you see them prosper. The perversion they live in is abominable to the Lord. Understand that the Enemy functions only off of perversion. He is not creative and cannot make something new. All he can do is take, twist, and pervert that which the Lord made for good. To walk in perversity is to walk just as the Enemy does. Those who walk in righteousness and wisdom have an inheritance awaiting them. As for those who walk in perversity and wickedness, a curse and death awaits them. Humble yourselves before the Lord and walk in His ways. There is a promise of blessing in doing so.
