Psalm 123

1Unto You I lift up my eyes,
O You who dwell in the heavens.
2Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters,
As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress,
So our eyes look to the Lord our
God,
Until He has mercy on us.
3Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us!
For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
4Our soul is exceedingly filled
With the scorn of those who are at ease,
With the contempt of the proud.
-Psalm 123

The Lord is the one who lifts us up. We do not have to walk as those who are proud or as those who have to exalt ourselves. We, like a servant, humble ourselves to Him. As we humble ourselves to Him, He exalts us. This is part of what it looks like to be a heavenly minded individual. We look to heaven for our help. We look to heaven for our abode. We look to heaven for that is where our Master presides. Look unto the Lord your God and find His mercy. He is good and is ready to lift us up. Praise the Lord!
