Psalm 121
1I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help?
2My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
3He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
6The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
7The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
8The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.
-Psalm 121
This is such a wonderful reminder for us. I challenge you to consider where your help comes from. In the way that you live your life, where do you think your help actually comes from? Indeed our help truly comes from the Lord. This does not mean it is not possible to live without His help. This is something many try to do, and inevitably fail. Let us lift our eyes to see from where our help really comes. He is steady. He is secure. He is a firm foundation. He works continuously that we may be preserved from evil. The Lord's heart is that we would look unto Him. So turn your eyes Jesus and find your abode there. Bless the Lord continuously!
