Psalm 120

1In my distress I cried to the Lord, And He heard me.
2Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips
And from a deceitful tongue.
3What shall be given to you,
Or what shall be done to you,
You false tongue?
4Sharp arrows of the warrior,
With coals of the broom tree!
5Woe is me, that I dwell in Meshech,
That I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
6My soul has dwelt too long
With one who hates peace.
7I am for peace;
But when I speak, they are for war.
-Psalm 120:1-7

Run to the Lord with haste. Do not delay when times of trouble come to you. It is pride that says you first have to try to solve your issues before turning to the Lord. Humble yourself before the Lord with haste. Cry to the Lord and seek His deliverance. Find your shelter in His truth rather than in the lies of men. Dwell in the peace of God, for that alone is a peace that surpasses understanding. Do not seek your own. Rather seek the face of God in all circumstances. Build the foundation that in any time of distress it is your instinct to run to the Lord. Praise the Lord for being a refuge for His people! He alone is our strong tower. Blessed be His name!
