Psalm 119 - Beth
9How can a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed according to Your word.
10With my whole heart I have sought You;
Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!
11Your word I have hidden in my heart,
That I might not sin against You.
12Blessed are You, O Lord!
Teach me Your statutes.
13With my lips I have declared
All the judgments of Your mouth.
14I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,
As much as in all riches.
15I will meditate on Your precepts,
And contemplate Your ways.
16I will delight myself in Your statutes;
I will not forget Your word.
-Psalm 119:9-16
Struggling with sin and temptation in your life? Check this passage out. A young man's way is cleansed by taking heed to the word of God. We have a simple template laid out for us here on how we can walk free from sin. Just as it says in Ephesians 5, we are sanctified by the washing by the water of the Word. If we are not in His word, then we lay at risk. We must hide His word in our heart that we might not sin against Him. This does not simply mean memorizing it, but living it. We proclaim and rejoice in His word, as much as in ALL riches. Do not just read your Bible, set it aside, and move on for the day. Continue to consider it throughout the day. Meditate on it. Delight yourself in it. This practice will help shape you, and keep you from sin. Praise the Lord!
