Psalm 119 - Aleph

1Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord!
2Blessed are those who keep His testimonies,
Who seek Him with the whole heart!
3They also do no iniquity;
They walk in His ways.
4You have commanded us
To keep Your precepts diligently.
5Oh, that my ways were directed
To keep Your statutes!
6Then I would not be ashamed,
When I look into all Your commandments.
7I will praise You with uprightness of heart,
When I learn Your righteous judgments.
8I will keep Your statutes;
Oh, do not forsake me utterly!

As we get into Psalm 119, we will be spending a lot of time contemplating the goodness of the Word of God. The introduction here captures our approach to the word and the impact that ought to have in our lives. As we come before Him in His word, we ought to be in that place where we too say we seek Him with our whole heart. We seek Him in His word and in prayer with our whole hearts. The results are evident. They do no iniquity and walk in HIs ways. Be diligent to heed His word! Do not walk in the ways of the world. Instead pursue after Him to the fullest extent. We do not need to be ashamed before the Lord. We can stand confidently and boldly before His throne. Seek Him today with your whole heart.
