Psalm 117
1Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples!
2For His merciful kindness is great toward us,
And the truth of the Lord endures forever.
Praise the Lord!

This is an interesting short Psalm that speaks a lot more about something greater than the humble appearance would inquire. The praise given to the Lord is meant to be given by all people. This is may not be a very new thought for us in our modern day, but for the time it was written, this was somewhat controversial. If you need to remember just how controversial the rift was between Jew and Gentile, read through Acts and Romans. Even in the unity of the faith there was controversy concerning this. See how merciful and kind our Lord is that we would be made allowed to praise! Rejoice in the Lord your God!
