Psalm 116:1-2

1I love the Lord, because He has heard My voice and my supplications.
2Because He has inclined His ear to me,
Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.
-Psalm 116:1-2

This image that frequents the psalms of the Lord inclining His ear to us is particularly striking to me. Think of what this image is getting at. When someone is engaged in something that you're saying, you put them on the edge of their seat, so to speak. They will lean in and listen intently to what you have to say. They want to hear you and posture themselves so that they can. This is what the Lord is doing. He is not just slumped back in His throne, vaguely listening for what you might request. He is pressed in, eagerly and intentionally listening for what you would cry out to Him. Praise God that He hears our prayers! Praise God that He hears our praises! Respond as the psalmist and call upon Him as long as you live. Praise God!
