Psalm 103:6-8
6The Lord executes righteousness
And justice for all who are oppressed.
7He made known His ways to Moses,
His acts to the children of Israel.
8The Lord is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
-Psalm 103:6-8
The character of God is so vast. There is so much to explore throughout the Scriptures concerning Him as the Scriptures expound so much on the incredible nature of His character. He cares for the oppressed. He does not bias those who are well off. He does get on the good side of those that can benefit Him. Of course, no one can benefit Him. He cares for those who are broken and in need of Him.
The Lord has spoken to His people and made Himself known. He has shared what He expects as it is in HIs character as well. Our God is merciful to us. He is gracious. I praise the Lord for that final line. He is slow to anger. He abounds in mercy.
Any man that would be described in such a way would almost sound too good to be true. The Lord is incredible and worthy of all praise. Consider the character of God and rejoice in Him. Consider those that are written in the Psalm. How has the Lord shown Himself to you by these?
