Psalm 101:2

2I will behave wisely in a perfect way.
Oh, when will You come to me?
I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
-Psalm 101:2

I really want for us to meditate on this. Perfection. This is coming from the man after God's own heart. He does not give himself a way out from walking as he is called to walk. The expectation he has over himself is to walk wisely in a perfect way and to walk within his house with a perfect heart. The key here is not that we try with every ounce of our being to not sin. Sandwiched between the two lines of perfection is where David's eyes are set. They are set upon the Lord.

We do not walk out our faith by trying really really hard. We walk it out by having eyes set upon the Lord. We must be eagerly expectant for HIs coming. If we are hindered and distracted by the things of this world, it becomes easy to stumble. Treading through a dirty room with the lights on is difficult enough. Dim or lose the light, it is near impossible to step correctly. You will stumble everywhere. The nearer you are to the Light, the easier it is to navigate this world. Draw near to the Lord your God and walk as He has called.
