Psalm 97:7-9

7Let all be put to shame who serve carved images,
Who boast of idols.
Worship Him, all you gods.
8Zion hears and is glad,
And the daughters of Judah rejoice
Because of Your judgments, O Lord.
9For You, Lord, are most high above all the earth;
You are exalted far above all gods.
-Psalm 97:7-9

Beware of idolatry! This warning is a continued warning throughout Scripture. Evidently, it is an issue that the Lord is concerned with for His people. Do not confuse His grace and mercy with being soft. Our God is a jealous God and He is just in His judgment. Worship the Lord your God and Him alone. We must see that He is the only One worthy of all praise. Be wary of what you devote yourself too. Be wary of who you devote yourself too.

I challenge you to examine yourself. This is a challenge that is posed throughout Scripture. Be certain that you are really in this and that you are pursuing the Lord with a whole heart. Do not be overladen with distractions. Set your mind upon the Lord.
