Psalm 94:12-15
12Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O Lord,
And teach out of Your law,
13That You may give him rest from the days of adversity,
Until the pit is dug for the wicked.
14For the Lord will not cast off His people,
Nor will He forsake His inheritance.
15But judgment will return to righteousness,
And all the upright in heart will follow it.
-Psalm 94:12-15
Seek that you would be taught by the Lord! This is language that the Psalms use frequently and are reiterated in the New Testament. We are taught by the Spirit of God. In our instruction from the Lord, we find rest. We are not left abandoned nor forsaken. As dear children, the Lord corrects us and instructs us in what is best for us. It is a childish thing to assume that our parents just don't want us to have fun and that is why they are restricting us. In maturity, we see that parents give and take away from child, or discipline children, that they would walk in a way that is genuinely good for them. So the same with our Father for us.
Seek the Lord through His word and heed His instruction. This is wisdom to you. It will keep and maintain you. Listen for His instruction and follow it with haste and diligence.
