Psalm 94:8-11

8Understand, you senseless among the people;
And you fools, when will you be wise?
9He who planted the ear, shall He not hear?
He who formed the eye, shall He not see?
10He who instructs the nations, shall He not correct,
He who teaches man knowledge?
11The Lord knows the thoughts of man,
That they are futile.
-Psalm 94:8-11

I find it strange how so many think they can hide what they do from the Lord. Scripture defines such a thing as foolishness. The question is brought about in this psalm, "When will wisdom arise?" Having a perspective that recognizes the Lord seeing and knowing all things can keep you. Will not the Lord hear what you say or see what you do? Will He not bring correction? Indeed He does and indeed He will.

I remember a summer job I had a few years back where I worked alongside someone who only worked when the boss was around. If the boss wasn't there, he was slacking off, playing games, or otherwise doing anything that was not his job. However, if the boss was around, he was one of the best. Nobody could work as efficiently or productively as him. Having seen him work so well, the boss would often give praises to our slacking companion. He got away with it.

What of the one who sees in secret? We are not just before the eyes of the Father on Sunday mornings or when we are at church. We are always before the eyes of God. Do not think you can hide any of it from the Lord. Good and bad, He knows it all, even to the extent of the intents in the heart. Work as one who is seen.
