Psalm 92:5-9
5O Lord, how great are Your works!
Your thoughts are very deep.
6A senseless man does not know,
Nor does a fool understand this.
7When the wicked spring up like grass,
And when all the workers of iniquity flourish,
It is that they may be destroyed forever.
8But You, Lord, are on high forevermore.
9For behold, Your enemies, O Lord,
For behold, Your enemies shall perish;
All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
-Psalm 92:5-9
It is a foolish thing to fail to know or understand that the works of the Lord are great and His thoughts deep. The Lord's works are so magnificent and so worthy of praise. What does it say of a culture that finds the works of the Lord to be a common thing? It is foolish. What does it say of a man who believes their thoughts are beyond the Lord's? They are foolish. The alternative in wisdom is to recognize the works of the Lord and praise their greatness! See the depth of our God and rejoice in Him.
The wicked will come and go but the Lord remains forever. Do not join with the wicked in their foolishness, rather dwell with Him who will reign forevermore. The goal we pursue is an eternal reward. Set your mind on the Lord and get to know Him. He has made it possible that we can get to know Him personally by the work of His Son Jesus. Take advantage of the time you have now while you have it and rejoice in the Lord your God.
