Psalm 91:3-8
3Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
4He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
8Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.
-Psalm 91:3-8
The Lord genuinely cares for His people. Abiding in Him, we find a refuge and shelter. The reality is that we can have peace in our lives and through various trials when we are established in the Lord. If our cares are for this world and our hopes are set here, it is easy to be phased by any given circumstance. However, if we are set in the Lord, the things of this world do not affect our hopes. We do not have to walk in fear, for we know what our end is.
Take heart and rejoice in the Lord your God. He cares for you. Cast your cares on Him. I can think of no better place to entrust ourselves to than the One who gave it all to save us. Praise God!
