Psalm 91:1-2

1He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
-Psalm 91:1-2

Where do you make your abode? Where do you dwell?

These are important questions to ask in light of much of what the bible talks about with those that abide with the Lord and those that dwell beyond the bounds of the Lord. Those that dwell outside the camp are enemies of the Most High God. They are not His. The sow wickedness and reap destruction. Their paths are vile. Those that dwell with the Lord in the secret places are His. They are counseled by His wisdom and are eager to receive what the Lord has for them. In this place they dwell in safety.

We must see the Lord in this light. Romans 11 discusses the goodness and severity of God in very clear detail. The severity of God is upon those who are separate from Him, but the goodness of God abides on those who dwell in His goodness. He can be a refuge to us. He can be our fortress in Whom we trust. However, should we depart, He may be our very detriment. Seek Him while He may be found! Abide in His sanctuary. Dwell in His presence. There you may find peace.
