Psalm 89:5-10
5And the heavens will praise Your wonders, O Lord;
Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the saints.
6For who in the heavens can be compared to the Lord?
Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the Lord?
7God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints,
And to be held in reverence by all those around Him.
8O Lord God of hosts,
Who is mighty like You, O Lord?
Your faithfulness also surrounds You.
9You rule the raging of the sea;
When its waves rise, You still them.
10You have broken Rahab in pieces, as one who is slain;
You have scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.
-Psalm 89:5-10
We must understand that there is nothing like God. There is no one like God. The devil is not equal with God and simply evil. Our situations are not beyond what the Lord is able to bear. However, when we are in the midst of trials and temptations it can be so easy to minimize who God is. There is no doubt that the Lord is above it all. Yet if that is the case, why do we so frequently treat Him as though He is not?
The challenge here is to bring our requests before the Lord who is mighty to save. Praise Him for being above all things. Do not hesitate to make your requests known to God. Submit to the One that none can bring challenge against. We must have a right perspective concerning the power of Almighty God. Do not think anything to large or too small for the Lord. Let your requests be made known.
Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the saints.
