Psalm 86:14-17

14O God, the proud have risen against me,
And a mob of violent men have sought my life,
And have not set You before them.
15But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious,
Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.
16Oh, turn to me, and have mercy on me!
Give Your strength to Your servant,
And save the son of Your maidservant.
17Show me a sign for good,
That those who hate me may see it and be ashamed,
Because You, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.
-Psalm 86:14-17

The Lord is our help in times of trouble. In the same way that I have had to learn that it is not all on me to learn everything in Scripture but that I must be taught by the Lord, I have had to learn that it is not all on me to figure out my trials. It takes a measure of humility to be quick to reach out when trouble comes.

We need to learn to be quick to calling out to the Lord. We do not need to wait until things get way out of control. He is not simply our Help when things get really bad. He is there through it all. Be ever in communion with the Lord and hurry to Him. Wait upon Him. Listen to Him. He will give you strength and grow you in the midst of trials. Praise the Lord!
