Psalm 73:25-28

25Whom have I in heaven but You?
And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.
26My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
27For indeed, those who are far from You shall perish;
You have destroyed all those who desert You for harlotry.
28But it is good for me to draw near to God;
I have put my trust in the Lord God,
That I may declare all Your works.
-Psalm 73:25-28

This is a place I long to find myself and continue to strive for. In light of understanding the frailty of my flesh, why should I not cling all the more to my God? This is the hope that we all have in Christ! While the wicked perish, the righteous remain. This is one of those things that just makes sense. When there is no hope in the things of this world and everything is destined to perish, we should have our desire set upon Him alone.

It is good that we draw near to God. Do we hold to Him with such zeal? Beware the trap of becoming passive in your faith. Press forward to the upward call in Christ Jesus our Lord. It is not the things in this world that we get lost in that will be our portion forever, but the Lord. Prayerfully consider where your desires are set. Do you long and strive for unity with the Lord? Or are you caught up by the things in this world? Turn yourself to God and let Him be your satisfaction!
