Psalm 66:5-7

5Come and see the works of God;
He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.
6He turned the sea into dry land;
They went through the river on foot.
There we will rejoice in Him.
7He rules by His power forever;
His eyes observe the nations;
Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves.
-Psalm 66:5-7

We have discussed the importance of remembrance frequently as we have gone through these Psalms. The fact remains that such a practice is vitally important for our spiritual health and growth. In the section above there is praise given for the work God performed in splitting the season that Israel could walk through on dry ground. The praise He gives is in recognition of the goodness of God toward His people. We can offer this very same praise and recognize that the same goodness that was given to Israel in delivering them is given to us in our very own deliverance!

Rejoice, therefore, for you have been delivered from sin into righteousness! God did not just perform this in the deliverance from Egypt, but also in the deliverance to the Promised Land. Praise the Lord as He makes the way for you to enter into righteousness!
