Psalm 65:5-10
5By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us,
O God of our salvation,
You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth,
And of the far-off seas;
6Who established the mountains by His strength,
Being clothed with power;
7You who still the noise of the seas,
The noise of their waves,
And the tumult of the peoples.
8They also who dwell in the farthest parts are afraid of Your signs;
You make the outgoings of the morning and evening rejoice.
9You visit the earth and water it,
You greatly enrich it;
The river of God is full of water;
You provide their grain,
For so You have prepared it.
10You water its ridges abundantly,
You settle its furrows;
You make it soft with showers,
You bless its growth.
-Psalm 65:5-10
I have recently been caught up in seeing how much creation testifies of the Creator. It is interesting that in Romans 1 Paul talks about how creation has made God known, even His invisible attributes and Godhead. It is also interesting that in God's rebuke of Job God shows how all of creation testifies of His sovereignty. To even more amazement, Scripture often offers praise to God in creation or analogous of creation.
This is your call to wake up and smell the roses. Creation testifies of our Creator in more ways than we seem to realize. Historically I have found it easiest to enjoy God as I enjoy Him through His creation. Do not allow the busy nature of life distract you from what really matters. Don't allow various pursuits hinder you from truly enjoying the Lord. Rejoice in Him in rejoicing in what He made.
