Psalm 63:2-5

2So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,
To see Your power and Your glory.
3Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips shall praise You.
4Thus I will bless You while I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name.
5My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness,
And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.
-Psalm 63:2-5

There is a point in maturity where we grow to be content with little and satisfied with One. I recently spent a weekend with my brother's family and had an incredible time watching his nearly 3 year old son. One of the things that I noticed that most already know is that 3 year olds have very short attention spans. In their youth they are contented with little and often want more. I have found something very similar in newer believers. Earlier on in the growth of faith there is a relearning that takes place.

As we grow in maturity, we do learn to be content in any and every situation. With or without, our contentment lies in the Lord. However, we will not be satisfied until we see Him. We are not satisfied with the things of this world for it is not Him. As believers, He is our desire. So in Him we are satisfied in all things. Look to Him and ask yourself sincerely if you truly are satisfied with Him. If you are in that place, rejoice and continue in it! If you are not yet there, continue to seek the Lord in prayer and His word. Maturity comes through investment.
