Psalm 54:4-7

4Behold, God is my helper;
The Lord is with those who uphold my life.
5He will repay my enemies for their evil.
Cut them off in Your truth.
6I will freely sacrifice to You;
I will praise Your name, O Lord, for it is good.
7For He has delivered me out of all trouble;
And my eye has seen its desire upon my enemies.
-Psalm 54:4-7

There is something to be said of those who offer freely before the Lord. It is not out of obligation nor rule. It is simply from a place of loving and appreciating the Lord that sacrifice is given. Toward the end of Hebrews the freewill offering of praise is mentioned. It is a place of maturity we can get to where we seek to offer freely before the Lord. We can get to a place where we are not distracted by the things of this world and have eyes so set on Jesus and the works He has done and is doing that we cannot help but give praise freely.

In offering ourselves as living sacrifices we also are eager to surrender things to the Lord freely. We bring everything to the foot of the cross understanding the same revelation that the Psalmist has here. God is our helper and deliverer. He is worthy of our praise and of our freewill offerings.
