Psalm 46:4-7

4There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God,
The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.
5God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved;
God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.
6The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved;
He uttered His voice, the earth melted.

7The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our refuge.
-Psalm 46:4-7

I have been apart of several different Christian circles in many different denominations of the faith. Among experiencing many disagreements I also experienced a lot of commonality. One of the most common trends I noticed is the importance of the presence of God in the life of the believer. In contrast to the chaos of the waves roaring in vs. 3, we are now presented with a river that brings gladness. So the same is the presence of God flowing in the life of a believer.

When we abide in the presence of God, so He also abides in us. We then shall not be moved. We will have Him as our help. Seek to dwell in the presence of God. Get into the place of prayer and studying the word of God. Become comfortable with waiting upon Him in the secret place.
