Psalm 44:1-3

1We have heard with our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us,
The deeds You did in their days,
In days of old:
2You drove out the nations with Your hand,
But them You planted;
You afflicted the peoples, and cast them out.
3For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword,
Nor did their own arm save them;
But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance,
Because You favored them.
-Psalm 44:1-3

Let us not forget the works of the Lord nor the way in which we have attained salvation. Let us not allow for the works of the Lord to be forgotten in generations to come. This psalm begins with a good testimony that was shared from fathers to children of what the Lord had done for the nation of Israel. The wicked nations were driven out by the hand of the Lord. It was not by the might of Israel nor any such thing, but by the deliverance of God.

This is the same testimony we share concerning salvation. The old man was crucified with Christ. We dwell in a land that was not ours, in homes we have not built, with fruit we have not toiled for. (This of course is all speaking of spiritual matters). All that we possess is given from the Lord. It was not because we were impressive or strong within ourselves that we have salvation. We have salvation because the Lord delivered us.

Testify of this reality among your friends and family. Rejoice in salvation with fellow believers. Instill practices in your own life to remember the God who delivered you from sin and darkness and rejoice whole heartedly in Him.
