Psalm 40:4

4Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust,
And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
-Psalm 40:4

We spend a lot of time through these devotions talking about the importance of trusting in the Lord. In writing these I have been increasingly encouraged to trust even further. One of the things that has been emphasized to me in learning to study the Bible is to pay attention to things that are said over and over again. We are 40 Psalms in and have had a large majority of those dealing with trusting the Lord.

The one who puts their trust in the Lord is blessed. Perhaps the greatest blessing of trusting in the Lord is the fact that He is trustworthy. See the alternative: the proud and the lies. The proud seek for themselves and have no problem lying to bring forth their agenda. The Lord seeks the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. When you can trust the One who is trustworthy you have hope. When you have hope in Him you can have faith. In that faith we receive grace. For the man that bears such grace from the Lord what can you say but that he is blessed indeed. Trust in the Lord all the days of your life.
