Psalm 39:12-13

12“Hear my prayer, O Lord,
And give ear to my cry;
Do not be silent at my tears;
For I am a stranger with You,
A sojourner, as all my fathers were.
13Remove Your gaze from me, that I may regain strength,
Before I go away and am no more.”
-Psalm 39:12-13

I read this and am filled with joy at the work of the Lord. There are some prayers that we read in the Old Testament that are no longer appropriate for us to pray any longer as believers and followers of Jesus. He has changed our status. We know that we are not strangers to the Lord, rather we are adopted as dear children. He hears our prayers and intercedes on our behalf. We no more are sojourners and strangers to the Lord, but to this world. Praise be to the Lord for our salvation! We are made right with God and it is right that come before Him in praise! Give praise to the Lord today for your salvation.
