Psalm 37:21-22

21The wicked borrows and does not repay,
But the righteous shows mercy and gives.
22For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth,
But those cursed by Him shall be cut off.
-Psalm 37:21-22

Here again we run into the upside down kingdom. This time we see the difference between how the wicked and righteous live. This is an interesting point because it recognizes that we can live in this upside down kingdom now. While the wicked take what they can, the righteous gives what they can. There is a different perspective because there is a different purpose.

When one seeks to gain all they can, those who get trampled underfoot do not matter. However, when one's purpose is to be glorifying to the Lord they seek to lift up all they can, for mercy is in who they are. There is blessing given to those who are righteous, being merciful and offering of what they have. Such living leads to eternal investment. Seek to be merciful and to be giving. Do not seek to gain selfishly and it shall be well with you.
