Psalm 37:5-6
5Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
6He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.
-Psalm 37:5-6
Are you committed to the Lord? Most all believers would undeniably say yes. Is your way committed to the Lord? Most all believers would want to say yes but many would struggle. They see the path they have walked since committing themselves to the Lord and in the sight of many short comings doubt if they have truly committed their way to Him. The issue here is not so much that they have not committed their way to the Lord, but a certain lack of faith.
The fact that you are committed to the Lord means you are committing yourself to the way of the Lord. You have put your trust in Him and declared Him as Lord over your life. Faith and faithfulness are not separated in Scripture. Those who put their faith in the Lord will be faithful to the Lord. In other words, those who have committed themselves to God will commit to His ways as well.
Committing to Him requires trust. In this trust in Him, He will bring righteousness forth in you as light. So He has done with Christ in us and will continue to do. Examine yourself now. Are you committed to the Lord? Continue to strive forward in trusting in Him and walk in righteousness.
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
6He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.
