Psalm 34:19-22

19Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord delivers him out of them all.
20He guards all his bones;
Not one of them is broken.
21Evil shall slay the wicked,
And those who hate the righteous shall be condemned.
22The Lord redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.
-Psalm 34:19-22

I have found that many believers are extremely critical of themselves when it comes to trials. Many will begin to fault themselves because trial comes and think that the Lord is disappointed with them because they are in the midst of trial. It comforts me as I read this passage as the Lord recognizes that the righteous are afflicted. It comforts me much more them to see that the Lord brings deliverance to them all. We are guarded and protected by the Lord. Take heart if you are in the midst of trial and seek the Lord as your deliverer.

While the righteous are delivered and protected, judgment is brought upon the wicked. Their very own wickedness conquers them and condemns them. They are left destitute. Yet those who are His servants are redeemed. They will not be conquered by such wickedness and will not be left to be condemned. God is our salvation.

Be not so critical of yourself if you find yourself in the midst of trial. Cry out to the Lord making your prayers and supplications with thanksgiving heard. Draw near to the Lord and He will draw near to you.
