Psalm 34:4-7

4      I sought the LORD, and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears.
5      They looked to Him and were radiant,
And their faces were not ashamed.
6      This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles.
7      The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him,
    And delivers them.
Psalm 34:4-7

Seek the face of God! It is incredibly hard to find someone or something if you are not looking. It is incredibly hard to be heard if you are not speaking. How can you be met if you do not seek to meet? I've spoken with many believers on the difficulty of prayer. One of the big reasons I have heard is that they do not believe the Lord would meet with them. Therefore they choose not to pray.

We are encouraged to pray continually. When our gaze is set upon the Lord we are not left in the dust to be put ashamed. Instead the Lord in His mercy brings forth salvation! He puts us in a place where we are defended and delivered! How can such a reality be if we hide ourselves from the Lord or, even worse, run from Him. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Set aside some time today to pursue the Lord in prayer. Make your requests known with thanksgiving and meet with the Most High. He is already there ready to hear you.
