Psalm 32:1-2

1      Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
    Whose sin is covered.
2      Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity,
And in whose spirit there is no deceit.
-Psalm 32:1-2

The blessing that we have as believers is something far more than noteworthy. Not only is our sin cover, but it is cleansed from us! As we have brought confession before the Lord He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. As such we are truly blessed indeed!

Imagine if you will that you get a massive stack of speeding fines. When you go before the judge you discover how hefty this price is and that there is absolutely no way you could ever afford it. You sit back in horror as you realize how huge these mistakes are that you've made. Then the judge tells you that someone has come in and paid all of those fines for you and you debt is wiped away clean. You'd be so humbled and bouncing off the walls with joy that this was lifted from you! I don't know of anyone who wouldn't call that a blessed man. How much more so for sins which are much more deadly serious to be forgiven you.
