Hebrews 1:5-14 | What am I going to do about it?

Reorganize

It is a regular practice of my life to pay attention to the voices in my life and weigh whether I am putting too much weight on any particular one. Many people organize their lives by saying that Jesus has to be number one. I actually have an issue with that. To say that Jesus is number one does not exact the Christian life. The Christian life is entirely informed by the Son. There is no number 2. We do not segment my Christian life from my secular life, nor from my work life nor my personal life. If you were to write a list of what is prioritized in your life, the Son should be the very paper and ink that makes up the list. If it cannot be written within the Son, it ought not be written at all. Jesus informs everything.
    5      Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
    And lean not on your own understanding;
    6      In all your ways acknowledge Him,
    And He shall direct your paths.
-Proverbs 3:5-6
There is a word within this that carries an exceptional amount of weight. "All". If you were to organize and categorize everything in your life, can you confidently say that you trust in the Lord with all your heart and acknowledge the Him in all your ways? If your answer is no in any regard, it sounds like we need to practice reorganizing.

It is told frequently to Israel to consider their ways. The result of this consideration leads to a repentance and reorganization. If there are things that do not line up, or voices that hold greater weight than they should, our perspective needs to change. We must recognize the authority of Jesus in our lives and let Him have the authority He ought to have. I cannot speak into every situation directly, but truthfully, this is not a complicated process. If something has already been standing out to you in your mind, heed the voice of the Lord. Change. Transform. Let the Spirit of God have His perfect work in you.
7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says:

    “Today, if you will hear His voice,
    8      Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,
    In the day of trial in the wilderness,
-Hebrews 3:7-8
