Why we give.
Money and church can be a touchy issue, but it doesn't have to be. We don't give because God needs our money, and we don't give because the church just wants your money. It's so much bigger than that. We give, because God asks us to, and following through shows that we trust Him.
Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. (Matthew 6:21 NLT). And because God wants to be first in our lives; he asks us to trust Him with our money.
For followers of Christ, tithing, (a word meaning "tenth"), is a starting point. Tithing is giving the first ten percent of our income back to the local church. If you call MV Church your home, we encourage you to give generously, knowing that your money is used to help people take their next step toward God - both locally and worldwide.
