Celebrate

Four Reasons To Celebrate at Church

1. God Is Worthy
"O nations of the world, recognize the Lord; recognize that the Lord is glorious and strong. Give to the Lord the glory He deserves! Bring your offering and come into His courts" (Psalm 96:7 NLT).

2. It Is What Jesus Did
Luke 4:16 says, "When he came to the village of Nazareth, his boyhood home, he went as usual to the synagogue [or the meeting place] on the Sabbath" (NLT). The Bible tells us that "as usual" or another translation of the Bible says "as was His custom" Jesus went to the place of worship.

3. It Is a Good Habit
Most of the time, when we think of habits, we think bad habits, but there are good habits such as experiencing the joy of collective worship. However, some develop the bad habit of missing church. Hebrews 10:25 reads, "...not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near" (ESV). Therefore, the Bible says for us to develop the good habit of meeting together, and that's the habit of regularly going to church. If you've gotten out of the habit of going to church, this Sunday is the perfect day to start again.

4. It Is Important for Fellowship
Look again at what the Bible says, "not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another"(Hebrews 10:25 ESV). Church is an encouraging place! We all need encouragement. Life is hard. Life is difficult. We all run into various kinds of challenges; health problems, financial issues, conflict within our families. We have an opportunity to encourage one another, and that is a part of what church is all about.
